Welcome to REGIUS, an original Pokémon fangame set in the mysterious Regius Archipelago!

REGIUS: An Island Adventure: Embark on an adventure through a series of remote islands, each with its own unique ecosystems—from arid deserts to vibrant jungles and even an active volcano, all connected by the vast ocean. Along the way, you’ll uncover the remnants of an ancient, forgotten civilization. Can you unravel the secrets at the core of this enigmatic region?

The game presents an expansive, fully playable region, although there are a few areas that remain inaccessible. This limited access is primarily due to the absence of specific Hidden Machines (HMs), such as Strength, which are necessary to navigate certain obstacles.

Exciting updates are in the works, featuring the introduction of Pokémon from later generations and an enriched storyline that will deepen the gameplay experience. We invite you to immerse yourself in the REGIUS beta and encourage you to stay tuned for upcoming expansions that promise to enhance your adventure!

Features

Vanilla Pokémon Emerald Gameplay with Key Enhancements:

• Physical/Special Split: Includes icons to help distinguish between the two.
• 48 Brand New Pokémon Species: Expanding the roster with fresh designs.
• Double Battle Mode: Most trainers will initiate double battles by default, but this can be toggled off in the options menu.
• New Signature Abilities: Select new Pokémon have unique abilities. Cacophony is now functional, working like Soundproof.
• Revamped HM System: HMs no longer need to be taught to Pokémon. After receiving an HM, any capable Pokémon can use its field effect without learning the move. HM moves can also be replaced freely without the Move Deleter.
• Smashable Rocks with Item Drops: Some rocks now drop items when smashed.
• Expanded Bag Pockets: More room for items.
• Scrolling Options Menu: This menu has additional customizable options for player preferences.

Smaller Modifications:

• Berry Juice Production: Shuckle can produce Berry Juice by holding any berry.
• Party Nicknaming: Pokémon can now be nicknamed directly from the party menu.
• Trade Evolution Items: These can be used out of battle like evolution stones.
• Improved Battle Loss Penalty: Losing a battle results in a more forgiving money calculation.
• Surf Music Removal: Surfing no longer interrupts route music, allowing for a smoother listening experience.

New Pokemon species discovered!

The Regius Archipelago is a hotbed of biodiversity, home to over 50 species of Pokémon not found anywhere else in the world. Use your Pokédex to learn more about them, and try to catch them all!
