Nuzlocke Mode Rules, Tips & Tricks!
GENERAL RULE OF THUMB: The game has built in nuzlocke mode, so if the “Pokeball Icon” on the left of the battle screen pops up, it means you are allowed to catch the pokemon in that area.
Starter does NOT count as your encounter on Route101.
Dupe clause AND Shiny clause are coded in. Again, reference the “Pokeball icon” on the left of the screen.
Caves/etc count as one encounter, WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS! Steven’s Room at the end of Granite Cave is a seperate encounter, each of the 8 floors of the Trick House is a seperate encounter, and each of the 3 floors in Victory Road is a seperate encounter.
Register the Picnic Basket, so you can easily heal after every battle.
